Yatagan
I’ve never cared much for photos, as I always believed sound was the most intimate way to preserve memories of a loved one.
There was a long stretch of time in my life where I’d record everything with my Zoom, and “Yatagan” (named after the perfume I was wearing the day this was recorded), is one of few tracks I made this past decade that features my dog Charlie. Much like the way you can identity a close friend from the sound of their footsteps, I can identity Charlie here from the sound of her dog tags, rustling at the conclusion of our walk together. This is being uploaded because I keep having dreams about her. Thank you Charlie, 2007-2021.
