Conductor / Life and Death of Pboc gathers two rare early compositions by Carl Michael von Hausswolff, originally recorded in 1983 and 1986 and later brought together by Sub Rosa. These long-form pieces mark some of von Hausswolff’s first works without clear reference points: stripped, severe and spectral studies in electronic sound, where duration, darkness and resonance become a meditation on presence, disappearance and death.
