Described as a “ceremonial epic,” the work was also presented as part of an “immersive sonic experience.” In early 2022, Hopkins was commissioned to create a soundtrack for the Dreamachine, an art object modernised by the Collective Act team to facilitate transcendent experiences without the use of hallucinogenic drugs. Following that experience, Hopkins decided to develop a shorter piece with a “ceremonial” quality, which became the genesis of the album.
