Lucie Páchová travelled to Bulgaria for the first time in the summer of 2011. Using their national census data, she identified some villages near the border with Macedonia and Greece that had a population of zero. These sounds and objects really belong in the past; playing them is perhaps an effort to resuscitate them and as they are being played and vibrating, they are breathing once more.
